Abbas Golestani received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Windsor, Canada, his M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence from Iran University of Science and Technology and his B.Sc in Computer Engineering from Shahed University.
He has a special interest in exploring the presence and implications of self-similarity and chaotic behavior in natural phenomena,
such as population dynamics in ecosystems, EEG signals of epileptic patients, financial markets, etc.
His research interests include medical time series analysis, time series forecasting, multi-agent systems, machine learning and evolutionary algorithms.
Golestani is most known for his work on chaos analysis of complex systems.
